2018 is upon us! I hope it will be a productive year for all of you.
This is just a quick reminder that we will see you next Tuesday morning. I have uploaded the timetable and also a weblink to the online journal Philosophy of Mathematics Education. This is an excellent journal with very interesting articles and theoretical pointers.
Just a quick note to congratulate all the MEd's - all your proposals are through now!
You can all relax now - but start thinking about securing your research site and participants.
Have a wonderful Christmas and see you soon.
Well done to Gaus and Gottfried for each submitting their full thesis a few weeks ago. They worked very hard and we all now cross our fingers for a postitive outcome. They are back in Namibia and if you see them looking so relaxed, you now know why!
The Higher Degrees Committee met on Tuesday and I am very pleased that three out of the four proposals were approved. One proposal requires a little more work and clarification. Hopefully this will be ironed out by the time our next session commences.
Our contact session in January is a short one - see the schedule under Progress and Findings. The aim of this contact session is really to ensure that the MEds are all set for their field work, and that the PhDs proposal is making good progress. Their submission deadline is the 12th April 2018.
Have a wonderful festive season and a happy New Year.
Travel safe and see you soon!
Dear MEd students
I have just submitted your proposals to the EHDC in preparation for its meeting on the 5th December. Well done on meeting the deadline - now let's cross thumbs for a postitive outcome. I will let you know as soon after the 5th December as possible. In the meantime, have a good end-of-term.
